Mr. Luu Ba Mac, representative of the National Assembly of Lang Son province, proposed to have tax incentives, increase port capacity... to support airlines in reducing ticket prices and stimulating tourism demand.

Discussing the field of tourism and culture on the morning of May 29, delegate Luu Ba Mac (Lang Son) stated that our country's socio-economic situation tends to recover positively and achieve many important results. important in all fields. In particular, the field of cultural development has also been focused. The field of tourism development has received attention and has had a strong recovery.

The delegate raised two ideas to promote tourism and culture. In the tourism industry, he analyzed the causes of high air ticket prices and expected there to be solutions to support airlines in reducing ticket prices and stimulating demand throughout the industry.

Citing page 40 of the Government's Report No. 230, he said the government has mentioned the problem of high air ticket prices but has not talked about the solution. Accordingly, the number of commercial aircraft decreased sharply. As of the end of March this year, there were about 170 aircraft left. The number decreased by 40 aircraft, equivalent to about 20% compared to the same period last year.

Some domestic enterprises have restructured, causing domestic flight routes to be cut or reduced in frequency. Rising fuel prices also contribute to increased air ticket prices, affecting domestic tourism development and people's travel needs.

Since then, National Assembly delegate Luu Ba Mac proposed that the Government come up with solutions to support airlines to reduce domestic air ticket prices and reduce travel costs for people. This also contributes to attracting more domestic and international tourists, stimulating demand for tourism activities and domestic services; Increase the competitiveness of tours compared to foreign tours.

Mr. Luu Ba Mac cited a number of solutions currently discussed by experts and managers such as: exemption and reduction of taxes, related fees and discounts in aviation services. In particular, it is necessary to increase the number of aircraft, open more routes and put into operation some aircraft that are being abandoned and causing waste. At the same time, it is increasing the management, operation and exploitation capacity at airports.

Previously, many reflected on the paradox of the shortage of aircraft while there were up to 4 Airbus A321 aircraft "idle" at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat airports. Explaining this situation, information at the meeting of the Ministry of Transport said that the reason was because the aircraft leasing companies unilaterally terminated the contract and sold the aircraft to debt trading organizations, leading to Legal disputes prevented the aircraft from being put into operation to serve the people.

In addition to tax and fee solutions, Mr. Mac emphasized encouraging businesses to research and apply alternative fuels or energy to protect the environment. He further noted the proposed solution to protect the legal rights of domestic airlines against unfair practices of foreign companies leasing and purchasing aircraft and buying and selling debt.

"It can be said that a powerful fleet of aircraft is the strength of the nation," Mr. Mac said.

Agreeing, Mr. Pham Van Hoa, National Assembly delegate of Dong Thap province, said that airfares have recently increased, causing people's travel demand to decrease. He pointed out the fact that some airlines have suffered losses for many years in a row, but the Department of Aviation of the Ministry of Transport has provided services to increase revenue for many years. The airline's loss problem comes from many reasons, including the collection of many types of fees at the airport by the Department of Aviation.

"Manual collection of traffic fees at airport stations also causes frustration for customers, please ask for an answer from the Ministry of Transport," he said.

On the airline side, there are also many positive moves such as increasing flights, night flights, continuously implementing promotional programs, 0 VND tickets... to serve the travel needs of people and tourists, especially is this summer.
